122 Years Foundation Day Mass
Our College community gathered for our annual Foundation Day Eucharistic Mass on 7 August, celebrating 122 years of education in the Brigidine tradition and commemorating the 140th anniversary of the arrival of the Brigidine Sisters in Victoria.
Together, we reflected on the legacy of those who have shaped ³ûÖÊÓƵ before us and the values that continue to guide our community today. This year’s theme, Justice, was at the heart of the Mass, reminding us of our shared commitment to creating a more just, compassionate and inclusive world.
The Mass was enriched by the meaningful contributions of our students and staff through prayer, reflection and music. We thank Fr Peter Matheson for leading the Mass, Sr Rosemarie Joyce csb for delivering the homily, Wanda Elton for her violin solo and Sienna T (Year 9), whose beautiful rendition of ‘We Stand on Your Shoulders’ provided a moving moment of reflection. We were also honoured to welcome members of the Brigidine community to share in this significant occasion. A special surprise during the Mass was the opportunity to wish Sr Lia a very happy birthday, while also celebrating the students marking their birthdays today.
As we celebrate our Foundation Day, we give thanks for our rich history and look ahead with hope, continuing to live our motto of Strength and Kindliness in all that we do.
